Could someone with one of these in hand check to see if the belt shank is compatible with Safariland holster bodies? The tip of the UBL is causing me some serious hip pain and the Blackhawk one looks like it spaces away from the leg a little bit.

Disappointing but thank you for checking. I have no idea why Safariland thought it was a good idea to angle the shank into the thigh.

I have always thought these were better shanks. Still available if you look around.

I agree: I much prefer the older shanks, but was disappointed to find that they aren't compatible with Safariland holsters that take the newer shank -- the holes don't line up.
I was fortunate to inherit a "new old stock" 6280 that sat in my buddy's locker unused for about 20 years...so it replaced my ancient 6280, and continues to serve my needs.
