It is, however, the only reason I've heard of for Glock to still manufacture Gen3 pistols.

Found it. CA requires handgun manufacturers to pay a fee and submit specific models for safety testing. Maybe that's what I was thinking about. I think some of them just won't do it and forget the CA market.

I wish it was only that. Micro stamping technology just doesn’t really exist in any modern handguns. Because if this we haven’t been able to obtain newly made handguns for many years. Unless you pay ridiculous amounts of money in the private market since Leo are exempt and make a fat profit off selling “off roster” pistols.
