I predict that this appalling state of affairs will continue until it personally affect the progeny of the privileged. Then, the same people flagellating themselves over the evils done unto others by the wicked police will call for more police and stricter enforcement of laws- all without a single bit of shame or self reflection.

    Y’all stay safe.
I'm shocked, shocked I say, to hear this:

"Carjackings in Minneapolis have increased by 537% in November 2020, compared to November 2019. Minneapolis police have reported more than 125 carjackings in the city over the past two months."

I’ll confess to a tad bit of Schadenfreude. May this trend be enough to persuade the progressive voters of MSP to change course before their city has a reputation like STL.

With sadness, I must report that I am nearly choking with laughter.

Marching with signs that say “Defund the Police” is all fun and games until the people most in need of policing start taking advantage of the opening. I’m waiting to see which ultra-liberal council will be the first to reward their city with a technical-mounted minigun event.

We may have our pendulum-swinging event.

This occurred in the heart of the Midway district, in the busiest traffic intersection in the Twin Cities.
(The victim was the father of a former client of mine, and lived a few blocks from us- I've seen him around.)
We in fact passed the scene last night about ten minutes after the shooting, on our way home.

The outrage is palpable, and growing.

Oh, and somebody decided it would be fun to up the ante a bit, too.

Shot in a Prius nonetheless. Perhaps it was missing the obligatory “Equality” bumper sticker?

I've never thought of that intersection as completely safe/non-sketchy, but I've also driven and biked through it a bunch of times, so it's also not normally the worst place either. If people are getting randomly shot while driving there...ugh...

Over the years I've witnessed some crazy shit at or near that intersection.

I’m sorry to hear of this, brother. Stay safe.
