    example from summary:
Ugh. That’s depressing. There is such widespread fallout from the BLM anti-police movement and the politicians that supported it.

Like most of us here, when this all got started I thought “this isn’t going to end well, and a lot of people aren’t going to like it.”

So a commissioned report on Minneapolis govt during the riots of 2020 tells us what we already knew. This is on local and national news, but these folks broke it first. There is a link in the article to a PDF of the actual report.

In other news, Ilhan Omer is facing some possible challenges for her seat this year.

The latest is Don Samuels, a very highly respected former Minneapolis City Council member who decided to run in order to primary her. He actually has a chance. He's much more centrist than Omar.

She has another potential challenger in Shukri Abdirahman, who is positioning herself as a Republican in the Winsome Earle-Sears vein, though I do not know if she has the political talent Ms Sears has shown.

ETA: Whoops. looks like @Totem Polar beat me to the post with the report on Minneapolis City Govt response!

If she loses, I'll put up the ticket back to Somalia.
There's nothing civil about this war.

Put me down for $20 on that. I’m good for it.

There's no way she'd go. She'd have to give up her wealth and power. In spite of all her kvetching, she knows exactly how good she has it here.

I'd be happy to cover the cost of some water wings for the 'wet' portion of her trip.

Surely there must a couple of Somali pirates out there who'd give the girl a lift.
