Thread: Glock 19 of IFAKs?

    Glock 19 of IFAKs?

North American Rescue's website is apparently unable to process orders. What's another quality PF-approved, affordable, available option for civilian first aid kits?

I don't know how available they are, but I have liked the ITS Tactical kits ok. Dark Angel Medical is my go to.

I'm a fan of the TMS DOK as a core, then add contents and a pouch to your liking: https://www.tacmedsolutions.com/TacMed-Downed-Officer-Kit
Lots of other options on the site as well, see also: https://www.tacmedsolutions.com/TacMed-Solutions-Operator-IFAK

If you begin with a high quality mechanical windlass tourniquet like the CAT(v7) or the SOFTT-W(v4) it's almost hard to go wrong with the rest of almost anything you buy.

Both Chinook Medical and Rescue Essentials have a wide assortment of quality stuff.

The kit you posted, https://www.tacmedsolutions.com/TacM...-Operator-IFAK looks good to me and includes SOF® Tourniquet Generation 4 (SOF®TT-W). I placed an order. Thanks!

I would just note re: the NPA that there is no replacement for hands on practice.... but I am doubtful you will find a lot of willing volunteers. I would consider leaving this out.

Lol. Could buy two so you can play my favorite pre-hospital trick: the double nose trumpet.

I'd never use a medical device I'm unfamiliar with, unless there's a nephrologist nearby. If you're serious, I'll remove this piece.

We were told they’re going away from NPAs in the field, at least in our region of CT. I don’t carry any in any IFAKs I have. I’m not slinging a BVM or O2 off duty, coupled with head trauma being a contraindication, not worth the space it takes up. My .02
