String 3: 10 yards. At the start signal, fire five rounds. Time limit is 10 seconds.

My normal bay was occupied for police training today so i had to use the short bays by the lake. Getting to 25 was a compromise but since i had that area to myself i made it work. Standing in the weeds with my target against the berm just got it. Dropped 1 for -10 at 25 and generally poor shooting today, i fell short of the 285 goal. Should've at least been able to clean the 15 and under stages but i noticed myself not prepping the trigger and yanking through the takeup on a few shots.

I also made the mistake of shooting the 25 yard in one continuous string versus 10 shots from the low ready.

Shot according to instructions as above. I also like to vary this by adding presentation from holster, shooting support side, or shooting low light. It's one of the best uses of 30 rounds out there.

Ran this today in the back yard as I had to confirm the sights on the wife's new Gen 5 17 MOS anyway

Pistol used- Gen 5 Glock G45 MOS with stock internals , Parker Mountain Machine Comp and Barrel combo, Trijicon RMR RM06, Forward Control Designs OPF-G RMR plate, ameriglo BUIS, Surefire X300U, and an SLR magwell.

    Total score- Run #1 296/ Run #2 297

    Anything you noticed

    First Run-
25 yards- felt good all in the 10 ring pushed slightly right which I had made a correction the other day the right (1 click) so for run 2 I adjusted back left.

15 yards- I pushed 2 rounds into the 9 ring from grip consistency.

10 yards- Felt good kept the grip how it needed to be to clean that run

7 yards- first 5 were great smooth reload until the first shot after it which I pushed into the 8 ring but I cleaned the rest up after that.

    5 yards- felt good.

    Second Run-
25 yards- correction on the RMR pushed me back centered but I pushed one round high into the 9 ring.

15 yards- good run felt clean and was clean

10 yards- let my grip fade on one round an pushed it to the edge of the 9 high right otherwise clean

7 yards- much better overall no 8 rings but pushing speed one round just outside of the 10 ring

    5 yards- making butter again.

Well, it’s Monday here, and it shows. Tried the Runenation “Cold Start” w/a G26. Did not go very well, but it was a learning experience.
Same with this drill; I should have followed Karmapolice’s example and looked at zeroing the pistol. So, I don’t want to talk about the first run!
    Second: Gen5 G45 with an RMR2 mounted-and I thought-zeroed...
    Score:285(whew!)
My shots out of the black were basically @25 yards. A couple of adjustments and it seems to be where it needs to be. Interestingly, I had won a small IDPA match with it over the weekend. If I recall correctly, no targets over 15 yards. So there’s a lesson learned.
I do get instant feedback from the red dot, so realized when I had a couple more “8s” closer in.
I certainly will address this again with the same setup. 300 here I come!
    Thanks for posting it.

Total score: 292, time limits met

    Anything you noticed:

Great validation of the Apex AE kit recommended by TCinVA. Pretty happy for a first run, the two ugly flyers aside.

I dropped the 7 ring shot on the 25 yard stage, but shot the entire stage in under 20 seconds. Ugh.

PX4CC, JMCK Wing Claw 2.5 under a polo shirt.

269 - would have been halfway respectable if I hadn’t thrown that little guy at 25.

The other thing I noticed was that I reached to the wrong place for my reload. (Trying an AIWB pouch.) It’s easier to adapt to a different holster position than to a different mag pouch location.

Shot this with a different setup today with a coworker.
    Gen5G19MOS w/ACRO mounted.
292 points, all strings ok on time; shooting the 25 yard string in 40-45 seconds(and had an ugly high”7” there). I will work with the duty G45MOS and RMR2 next Monday methinks.
I like this one as it pushes out to 10, 15 and 25 yards.
    Thanks for posting it.
