With respect to the Glock, if Shadow Systems and others can mimic the design, the top manufactures should do the same only better!

    All I was sayin.
Shadow systems and others have had mixed success. Mimic is a good description.

Update going the rounds (mostly posting some youtube video, but this appears to be the source):

Not liable. FYI I'm hardly versed in the issue, just saw the tube video and wondered if the news were posted here yet.

Some guy on reddit just shot himself appendix with his Sig while it was still inside the holster.
The commenters are mostly saying he must have accidentally slipped a finger into his trigger guard and the OP isn't too sure what happened because of the shock of what happened, but he is adamant that the gun was still inside the holster.

I saw video of one going off as it went back into the holster just today. Multiple witnesses said the shooter's finger was nowhere near the trigger.

So if the striker reset spring is broken or improperly assembled the tip of the striker will protrude from the breech face after the trigger is pulled or the striker is otherwise released but it could not cause the issue described.

That’s my local range. I wasn’t there but I recognized the range and ppl.

Hot garbage might be a bit too nice, more like old withered and dried cold poop.

I was too but bailed. If you can call three guns, carry gear, Apex parts, trijicon sights and a box full of practice and carry mags heavily vested.

I had such a great time with my M17-B on the last couple of range trips that I've been letting it pull nightstand duty. Back to the G17G5 I suppose. I like it just as much and I'm 0% concerned it's going to shoot my fiancée or cat.

I waited years to buy a P320 variant and I thought this part was over. Mine has a manual safety but that only stops the trigger as far as I know.

Had the VP9 for a time but was spooked by the mallet striker drops and found the trigger a bit too light.

Have and entirely trust M&Ps but every time I read about the fully tensioned striker in them there's that tiny sliver of doubt that appears.

Hell, if it weren't for my faith in the striker system and quality control of my Glocks I'd be frustrated enough to just go back to what I started with. A manual safety on, decocked Beretta. That's a gun you REALLY have to want to shoot!
