    I’m sorry. I’ve been there many times and it really sucks. I’m sure it’s even harder to deal with everything going on right now. It is however the price we have to pay for the joys of their friendship.

    Sorry to hear it. Its never easy. They arent people, but they are family.


    FWIW, the only way Ive found to help get over it is to go find another good dog that needs a good person. Rescues and pounds are usually full of them. It doesnt take anything away from the old dog, but helps fill the dog shaped hole in your life, and makes the world a little better place by giving a worthy dog a good home and person.
