I started Light Infantry and moved to Mechanized with M1s, Bradleys', and Paladins. I always respected those metal beasts and tried to influence my Soldiers to respect them.

One of the first thing we were told in Armor school was that a tank was built to kill people and it didn’t care who. The worse mangled arm I have ever seen was that of an almost retired SFC who got in the way of a track under tension.
Apparently this was an oath Ceremony with family members present and the APCs were supposed to add some excitement to the event by racing around and firing blanks. The crews did a piss poor job but apparently the trooper who was ran over survived the ordeal with little injury. Several news reports in Russian sources but not surprisingly, no response from the military.
