Along the Deschutes with my Glock 43 and Hill People Gear

It’s great getting out of the craziness of Seattle and onto the serene trails along the Deschutes in Bend, OR. My Specialized hardtail 29er performed splendidly and was outfitted with a Hill People Gear OD green bag that carries an extra tube, tools, and DEET bug spray. I also use a Blackhawk Hydrastorm Tsunami to carry pepper spray, food and my Glock 43 plus a spare mag. The Glock is attached to the loop material in the hydration compartment by a Cook’s holster. Yes, that is a 43X slide on a 43 frame. I prefer this set-up as it greatly enhances consistent ejection. The mag in the Glock is a MagGuts +2 which gives me 9 rounds of RA9T on tap.

Nice. My friends and I were planning a road trip up that way with stops in Bend and Crater Lake but then 2020 just said 'fuck no' to all that. Hopefully in '21 or '22.
