    Loctite Alternative

I've got a JMCK 2.0 34-length I'm getting used to. The screws are backing out a little each time I wear it. I marked the screws to verify as seen in the pic (wore for a few hours). I could use blue 242 or low-strength purple 222 and it would easily hold the screws in place.

I want to be able to make ongoing retention adjustments without worrying about breaking the loctite seal. Past experience says the screws would likely stay put even after breaking the loctite seal because of the residue on the screw and in the post threads but isn't there an alternative that is applied to the screws that firms them up allowing for ongoing adjustments? Thanks

    Vibra-Tite seems to be popular.

Personally, I just use Loctite Purple (222MS)

I've used both blue and purple, and Tony sent something with the holster but I didn't look to see what it was.

You could try a wrap or two of Teflon plumbers tape on the threads.

For an adjustable option without having to reapply, either VC-3 or Teflon tape.

VC-3 is what Tony included with the holster. I thought it was the same as Loctite. Problem solved.

Yep, if it's not a high stress application, and I don't have Loctite handy, I steal some of my wife's nail polish. Without checking I'd guess I have used more nail polish on holster screws than Loctite over the years.
