Question about posting in this forum

Does the host need to be the one to post class announcements? I am signed up for a class that is kind of under the radar, SouthNarc's ECQC in Los Angeles on Nov 4-6 and would like to put this out there for anyone who is interested. This class really hasn't been advertised and it would be nice to meet some people from the community.

    POC is Drew Pruhs dpruhs@gmail.com

As a rule, we'd like instructors or hosts to post. But since Snarc is an SME here, it's perfectly OK if you post one of his classes as long as you've cleared it with him first.

I have not, I have corresponded with the host, who is listed above. I will send SN a link to this thread.

I'm fine with it. On that note, I don't mind if one my hosts posts a class with me here but I'll probably refrain from doing so as Todd was kind enough to offer me the SME status and I really don't want to spam his board with commercialism.

Your sense of chivalry is admirable, sir, but I think I speak for the whole of the staff at PF.com when I say that your participation on our little forum is greatly valued, and that your class announcements are about as far removed from "spam" as something can be...so please feel free to post your classes anytime you like. No one will be offended.

Thanks TC I appreciate it and I'll think about it. I just don't want Todd's board to be percieved as a marketing arm for his friends and peers. I probably need to participate and contribute more content before I go posting classes myself.

I know I speak for everyone on the Staff as well as the members when I say we'd all like to see every good open enrollment class listed here. It's not marketing on your part, it's providing information and opportunity to the folks who read pistol-forum.com. Either you or your hosts are welcome to list any classes you're teaching, bro.

There's no one here thinking that. I had no idea you and Todd were friends and I'm one of his friends. You've already added quite a bit to our discussions, enough to make me sign up at TPI and try to quietly soak in a bit of info. Too bad my arm is a bit fragile.....

Yeah, I'd rather have more info about more classes available to everyone!

Now, if every post you put in was "check out my class in poughkipsie in two weeks and I'll give the answer to this question" then yes you're just advertising. But in the right place, you're just making good information available to everyone.

Todd said it's not just your arm that's fragile.
