Who do we like for masks?

Without getting into the politics and health of the thing, I need something for the office because:reasons. I’d like it to be as effective as possible but also comfortable and somewhat less hospitally looking than my current blue mask.

    Links appreciated.

I just switched to one of these.

I definitely get a few weird looks wearing it, but if I was going to be forced to wear a mask I wanted something that would be more effective than a piece of cloth.

I had my wife make some, I bought some off Etsy for the crews, got a few from Go-Ruck, and finally got one from Outdoor Research:

It makes a difference when someone that designs and manufactures clothing makes one.

I thought the ties would be best and maybe if I was wearing 8 hours a day but for my most of my car trips with co-workers or store visits the over the ear is easier and convenient. I am going to get a few more of the OR masks, we'll be doing this for a while.

RZ masks are what I wear when I travel, pretty comfortable to wear all day. They do have a valve so they are kind of "selfish" but I don't trust other people to do the right thing so protecting myself is priority #1. Cloth masks are ok if EVERYONE is wearing them but not so much if not. I have their 2.0 and 2.5 version, the 2.0 is easier to put on quickly but the 2.5 is better to wear for long flights/ work day. https://rzmask.com/collections/all-masks

If you want to wear something that protects YOU, you need N95 or equivalent.
Cloth masks are nice, but they protect others FROM you. Mostly.

I have masks for sale, so, I may be biased.

I bought some neck gaters from SurfMonkeyGear.com, and I like them for the comfort and convenience. They are made in Florida too!

I've had RZ for use in the workshop, mostly because I fell for the advertising when they seemed to be sponsoring every youtube woodworker I was watching. I can't keep the damn things on. They just don't seem to match up well to my face for whatever reason.

Yeah, I think I'm mostly looking for the appearance of protection while also not appearing so medical, while also offering at least something more than just the gaiter/buff type neck thing that I've got, while also looking a little more classy in an office environment.

I have some similar masks that I bought from Amazon back in early February. They have the replaceable charcoal filters and claim >95% filtration. I find the fit less secure than a good N95, but, I have a crooked nose that's hard to fit. YMMV.

My youngest is a smart kid, but totally fails at wearing/handling a mask properly. I gave him these masks and helped him fit them. I feel much better having him using these than failing to use N95's correctly. I do think you get decent protection for yourself from these if they fit well. And you can cinch them up pretty good with the velcro.

Just my opinion. Have not seen/done any real testing.

I picked up this mask from Prometheus Design Werx and have been using it for the last week or so:

    https://prometheusdesignwerx.com/pro...32646139478102

It fits well, is comfortable, is easy to take on and off, and is supposedly FFP2 rated. Unfortunately, it appears to be out of stock now.
