I like the Q-PT in lieu of the RFTS-Q, but the majority of my practice is also on the LTT target.

I first learned about the importance of subdued lines in one of Jeff Gonzales classes; while it uses the same photorealistic model as in John Murphy's, on the Tricon version 5 target both the head and chest rings are pretty much invisible to me as close as seven yards. With the model's black hoodie not having a logo or marking to focus on, I have to keep the sights in between the top of his gun hand and the neckline.

Unfortunately, following the link to the ShootSteel cardboard target gives me a 404 error page. Hopefully they have them available again soon. I was able to find a brief writeup from them dated last month with a picture to match the newsletter's description here:

P3DT has a 2D cardboard version of their 3D target which is the next closest thing I can think of. They're up in Flagstaff.

I bought Ralph Mroz's books for $15 on Amazon the other day when I was looking for the checklist of 25 critical actions that don't just focus on shooting, in his former blog's entry, 'Stop Practicing Shooting'. It's a great summary that I've been referring to when reminding myself and others that handgun skills are only one piece of a defensive encounter.

    Thanks Tom, as always.

    Bookmarked for later reading.

I tried to buy some of those Shoot Steel cardboard targets a couple weeks ago but couldn’t find them on the sight.

I did get some of the Langdon targets from Brownells via the PF link last month.

The owner of Shoot Steel called me a few weeks ago to thank me for publicizing the targets and asked if he could quote me about them in their blog.

Now, they have decided to discontinue them. They still have some. I would call them and make a bulk deal for some while they still have them.
