I don't know of any specific data for that round, but I wouldn't feel too bad stuffing mags with that stuff for defense use.

Works fine on unobstructed targets, not barrier blind.

I assume that is a good choice for rifles with barrel twist that does not support 77s?

Shot a lot of the bullet, but not that load. Exceptional accuracy, immediate upset at target, shallow penetration.

Just to clarify that you would be comfortable with 10" of penetration?

Not a good comparison, that BHA load is quite a bit faster than the Federal. In my experience, the TRUs in general fly slower with higher SDs. Can't find the 16" velocities, but the published are 2950 from 24" for the TRU, 2875 from 20" for the BHA.

Im tracking, so for 69gr TMK to meet the FBI minimum it has to be lower .223 velocity or throw the 5.56 pressured stuff out of an SBR. So its just like the Hornady 60gr TAP Vmax stuff then.

Probably not a good choice logistically if using it through multiple guns.

I far prefer a barrier blind load like the TBBC, Gold Dot or a monolithic projectile like a TTSX, GMX, etc....

However, much like the 75 & 77 gr OTM loads used to great effect on unobstructed LE and .Mil shots in the late 90's and early 00's, this projectile will offer acceptable performance when barriers (including limbs) are not present.
