Reminds me of Rosie O'Fatso's rants against guns years back, while she had armed escorts.

This stinks and the people of Minneapolis should throw all these bums out...on a rail.
There's nothing civil about this war.

But they won't. Because there is a voting majority that thinks these are smart, effective leaders. It's no different in Sheila Jackson Lee's district or any of the myriad others we could name. Once a community has reached that point, the rule of reason is irretrievable and the only remaining option is to vote with your feet.

I hear that the respected corporation Omni Consumer Products is developing a technology-based approach to private policing. Word is that there's a documentary on their efforts in Detroit available.

Surely that's a model we can apply to other cities.

There is a meme going around:

    1)Defund the police.
    2)The well-to-do hire private security
3)Progressives notice only the wealthy are protected.
4)The rallying cry becomes 'Single Payer Security for All!'
    5)...thus reinventing the police

(Hard core libertarians also sometimes advocate privatizing the police. I've never quite gotten how that is supposed to work. Adam and Bob have a dispute - a fight, car wreck, whatever. They both call their private police. Adam says Bob is at fault and wants his police to arrest Bob; Bob blames Adam and wants his police to arrest Adam. I just can't see that working out well.)

I think this has been tried, the royal caste/aristocracy system. But thats indeed what the dems seem to want and believe they are entitled to!

“I don’t feel comfortable publicly discussing the death threats against me or the level of security I currently have protecting me from those threats,” said Cunningham in a text message.
In other words, "Don't you dare question how I spend taxpayer dollars."

If only there was a public resource that could protect everyone, then this wouldn't sound so much like taxation without representation.
