There are like articles, just not from BBC.

An equivalent article would not be on “Antifa” but rather armed groups like John Brown Gun Club/Red Neck Revolt, The Red Guards. The Socialist Rifle Association, the Anarcho Rifle Association, The Anarchist Rifle Association (they are two separate groups) etc.

I don’t think the desire was for some apples to apples group comparison but simply to acknowledge how much of an issue ANTIFA is versus overblowing this “movement” as some bigger threat than it really is.

Because somehow a collection of mostly shit-posters making a joke (with the same exception as any group of some folks taking it too far) is more of a problem than the group of demonstrably violent anarchists trying to burn down buildings and assault citizens and cops.

Have ANTIFA adherents shot at your coworkers or tried to set your work place on fire? They have done both to mine so don’t lecture me about ANTIFA. Just because one group is a threat doesn’t mean other groups are not.

They are both concerns. Your knowledge of the Boogaloo movement is woefully lacking. You appear to be projecting your personal biases and are either unaware of or ignoring the violent acts Perpetrated by followers of this movement which includes at least three murders (2 police officers and a federal security officer) and the shooting of at least three law-enforcement officers. Not to mention the boogaloo boy in Austin who got him self killed by precipitating a shooting at a BLM protest.

Speaking of the Austin shooting, We have had debates here on PF about what constitutes benign open carry vs what is a threatening or ready position. Regardless I think most here would agree random dudes open carrying long guns taking up over watch positions at public protests (especially contentious ones) is unacceptable.

It’s also funny that both of you are critical of BLM and yet many Boogaloo movement adherents have allied themselves with BLM. Especially given BLM is a Marxist Organization posing as a racial justice organization which aligns ideologically with ANTIFA. It is actually a great demonstration of Horseshoe theory in action.

Every group has it’s extremists including Libertarians and gun owners. You may want to question why you find it so hard to wrap your head around the fact that some people who share some of your (and my) beliefs are bad people with bad intentions.

Do you have any recommendations for decent, even-handed coverage on some of those groups? Either specific articles or sources?

Most of the little I have read certainly skews left.

And a +1 to your statement on random guys with long arms at protests. Of course, the MSM narrative (even the RWMSM) seems to be all us 2A supporters just love OC.

I never said one was a threat while the other isn’t. I was simply commenting on how the media loves to highlight the Boogaloo Bois as the current prevailing threat to society and are damn near radio silent on ANTIFA, aside from the occasional mention of their “(mostly) peaceful protests”.

Yeah I may not have all the intricate details of the movement, but for the most part the origins were based on a joke and like any other idea some took it too far. Fucknuts akin to Sovereign Citizens decided to adopt it as the latest basis for their anti-government militia fantasies. Are they any less dangerous? Demonstrably the answer is no, but the majority I, probably naively, dismiss as LARPY dipwads.

Screw them, NFAC, ANTIFA or insert your own desired group of extremists.

Small potatoes, but Capone got jammed up for not paying taxes.

It's true that a lot of the Booger pages on IG have now aligned with BLM/ANTIFA because they think "Hey they don't like the govt so they must be our friends" and they post things like "Better friends with Red than dead by Feds".

What this shows is that they were never really liberty and freedom minded like they claimed. They don't like the current system, so they're willing to align with literal fucking communists because they view the State as the ultimate enemy, without realizing the system that BLM/ANTIFA would put in place is 100X worse than our current system.

Most of them are very young, younger than you might imagine. I had a DM exchange with a Booger Boi about fixing our current system vs all out revolution and I asked him his age, he is 16. When you go to their pages, they're mostly all baby faces who look like they don't even shave, which is weird because I had to start shaving in like 6th grade, but I digress....

They also know next to nothing about the founding of our country. Not that I'm an expert, but many of them believe that the first time the Crown suggested taxation and disarming them that they were like "Lmao get rekt" and the founders starting shooting tyrants in the face. They don't understand that they tried everything in their power to reason with their leaders and revolution was the last resort.

What started out as a meme, and that is how it started, don't argue with me because you're wrong, I was there, morphed into teenage paste munchers and weird 20 something year olds who grew up online and are afraid to talk to girls using this as an outlet for their anger because they blame society and the govt for their inability to function as a normal person.

Spot on. It definitely started as a joke back during the Obama administration if I recall correctly.

We are pretty far from Ozone and Turbo.

From the paper this morning - regardless of what you believe the Boog Bois are - the media has them branded.
