    Praise for the ESEE Izula

Just to throw it out there for for anyone not into dedicated edge in blades, I recently pulled out the ESEE Izula that I've had for a while, used a little outdoors but mostly gathering dust. Stuck it in the waistband and been using it for all my normal indoor/outdoor chores, and it's a hell of a knife. Cuts like crazy, and the included sheath is serviceable, if a little clunky. I think the next step is to strip the coating and put a little vinegar patina on it.

I'm thinking I might pick up a Cadiru to play with pocket carry in chinos and denim. Anyone have any experience with that?

Although I'll have to hide it from the lady. The other day:

Her: Did you buy yourself a second tomahawk? You barely ever take the first one down from the wall to use it.

Me: Uhhhhh, no. I bought YOU your FIRST tomahawk. As an early birthday present.

Her: You're so sweet! *grabs said tomahawk, walks away humming some Beyonce song*

I have since reclaimed it, at least for now.

The Izula and Candiru are little workhorses. Love them.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Since I gave mine away, I appropriated the pink Izula that Jeff and Mike gave my wife. In fact, it resides in one of your fine sheathes.

Hopefully she doesn’t find it and know where Candiru fish are alleged to swim...

I EDC an Izula in the OEM sheath attached to my belt by a small Tek Lok at @4:00 behind my pistol. Not the latest, greatest tactical carry but I use it to cut “stuff” multiple times daily. It’s a great little knife and has for the most part replaced all my folders.

If I had a feminine side, I'd touch it all the time.

This may prove inspirational in that case. I won't post the video in this thread as it's a bit off topic...

I remember that one well. I believe that it co-starred Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.

I like my Izulas. Very functional, less "pokey-stabby" appearing than many others.

What's the current, favored sheath? OEM is functional, always looking for better.
