What's a really big problem is the decision makers in government think it's fine and it's mostly the cops fault. Disagree and you're a dinosaur who should be on his way out. I'm still a bit heated about that particular conversation, so I'll leave it at that. I'm probably on enough trouble-maker lists as it is.

Since guns exist if it’s not a gun then it’s not a deadly threat seems to be a common belief for those who aren’t experienced or studied in violence.
I wonder if that belief would be as prevalent if crime scene photos of blunt force trauma and stabbing murders were shown on the nightly news and printed in news papers.
