Too bad there's often a difference between theory and practice.

When do we get Burbclaves? I know folks who can't wait for New South Africa to park a trailer.

In seriousness, assuming this goes the way I assume it will, I think it will help Americans rethink that banning guns and abolish the police crap.

Long may our Red Flags fly comrades! We must keep the capitalist pig-dog jackboots off the necks of our brethren and sistern and othern!!

But seriously: Knowing Seattle, that is for reals stuff there. My guess is the Feds looked it over already and want no part of it. Going to be interesting when they start pushing their barricades out, block by block.

Where’s the Mayor on this? The Gov?

Here I just got back from the sandy side of the world, only to see the same fucked up dumb corrupted shit happening to helpless and defenseless people here in America.

Strangely, I'm a lot less sympathetic for these folks, but it does make me worry about what the fuck is really going on and why the fuck people are even humoring the slightest notion of it.

Depends on which direction they push. It would be shut down toot sweet should they try to go where the mayor and others live.

I think you’re under estimating these folks. John Brown Gun Club has a decent number of combat vets training folks and honestly look more well put together than a lot of the 2A protestors. They’ve also got armed guards at all entrances and exits and are actively denying entrance to city officials.

The Mayor ordered the police to give up the precinct station in that area. There are some interesting screen shots floating around. They apparently have signs up at the barricades saying “leaving the us”. So are they renouncing their citizenship? Also apparently a guy with some friends may have taken over, because they are armed.

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

Two things I am hearing as of this evening; sister & brother in law live a bit north of downtown in the Magnolia neighborhood.

    1) apparently some rapper dude (RAZ?) and his posse may have taken over as the face of operations. Yay, Communo-Anarchist-to-warlord in what, 48 hours? Gotta be a world record, if true.

    2) City Hall & main PD station(?) have been vacated by agreement with Mayor Durkan & PD Chief and are now occupied by "protesters".

Would be great if I can get outside confirmation, though my mom called me 20 mins ago, aghast at the news from network TV of the City Hall & PD being surrendered.

This strikes me as a no-win for the city officals in the short term. I take the John Brown crowd pretty seriously. But how do they keep food and water flowing? The demands that will be coming soon will be interesing.

It certainly puts a new spin on liberals being ousted by gunmen.

Hopefully, it doesn't end up looking like Waco x1000.
