    Looks like a retirement plan to me. Two choices, get RIF'd with no severance, or terminated over rolling over a protester. #2 might end with a settlement or court date depending on the orders he received.

    At this point, why any SPD officer shows up for work is beyond my comprehension. Equally beyond is why the local government is half stepping. They keep blathering about cutting it, how bad/racist/evil all cops are. Just have your vote, disband them, have your property management guys lock them out of the building then cede the field to the barbarians and STFU.

    The City Council is good at complaining, theorizing, half stepping, and blather but not at moving beyond that. They also failed to consider union contracts and the DoJ consent decree, which prevent or slow down much of what they propose.
