Who Do We Like For Travel Cases?

My ancient Doskocil gave up the ghost. Not sure that I need a Pelican but might go that route anyway.

    What else should I consider?

Some folks have gone for Nanuk cases instead of Pelicans.

There's also Plano and Seahorse as always.

I bought a Pelican double gun case when I needed a case for travel. Its heavy though. Whatever you decide, it might be useful to have wheels on it. Mine did not. It can be pretty heavy carrying a case through airports. The wheels and case should be durable enough to withstand a short toss that a baggage handler might give it. I think Plano makes a similar case to the Pelican now. I found this article that might be useful,

The Tuff-Pak in the article looks interesting to me.

I bought the locking Plano off Amazon and it has been excellent. No issues with air travel.

I have the Tuff-Pak. It works really well. Does not appear to be a gun case at all. It is a bit of a pain to open and show clear when necessary. You basically have to unpack and repack it. But it holds two rifles easily, with room for other soft gear.

Negrini cases are great, but can be spendy. Looks like they have a new, lower-priced model:

I followed the herd and opted for a Pelican 1200:

I have a bunch of pelicans, they are fine. I don't have any long gun cases though. The Nanuk AR case is on sale and vaguely tempting...
