92X - chrome lined barrel?

I obviously defer to Mr. Langdon's peerless Beretta expertise but I am very, very surprised the barrels aren't CHF anymore. Isn't that a downgrade? Or am I oversimplifying?

I dont think the B92 barrels were ever CHF. They're made from rectangular stock, not round (to account for the locking lugs).
