Luckily any trees that might have fallen had already been taken out by Laura. No apparent additional damage to the house, even the tarps are still intact. The generator is back on duty.
    Hang in there, brother.
There's nothing civil about this war.

While the landfall points were close, the trajectories were different enough that areas much further east of Lake Charles took heavy storm conditions this time. Lake Charles didn't need anymore, Laura was already too much.

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Looks like I'd better change the oil in the generator...

    I hate that map.

There isn't any town named Cape Fear around here. There is a river with that name, but no towns. The river stretches from north of Fayetteville all the way to Bald Head Island.

It always bugs us when NHC issues a warning either starting from, or ending at Cape Fear NC.

    Sorry for the rant.

I hate it when the map shows a track running over my house.

Doesn’t lend itself to warm/fuzzy feelings.

...or not. Current path has it making landfall in eastern LA/western MS. Two hurricanes in one season are enough, thank you very much.
