Thread: Revolver Acro host

    Revolver Acro host

My wife and I shot Steel Challenge today, and it was our most amazing SC match ever. No, not because of our shooting, but because of what happened at the end of the match. A competitor sold me 1,000 rounds of Winchester .38 Special ammo for $250 (and 1,000 rounds of Winchester .45 ball for $300).

So if someone wanted an Acro host using the Apex mount, what is the revolver to get and carry AIWB — I have a three inch Scandium .357 386, but I am assuming that would make a better carry gun than higher round count revolver?

    I’d say a new 2.75” 66-8 or a 3” 586/686. I’m partial to K frames myself.

I bought one of the Apex mounting plates, fully intending to put in on a 4" Model 28 I had. Unfortunately, the top strap of the frame was not drilled for that plate.

Just something to be aware of. We were going to put an ACRO on it at the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup a few weeks ago, and watch @Wayne Dobbs do some work at the 100-yard line. Sadly, that did not come to pass.

Works pretty well on my 586 L-Comp that I've been carrying for a month or so now.

    I was going to suggest a 28 or a GP100.

Is that a 686+PC with an ACRO?

Well, you may be a man. You may be a leprechaun. Only one thing’s for sure… you’re in the wrong basement.
