STI Changes Company Name To Staccato

STI, the inventors of the 2011, has rebranded itself as "Staccato," the same name as the company's line of duty and personal defense-oriented pistols that were released last year. The newly dubbed Staccato says "the Staccato brand reflects the company's vision for the future."

Fixed it for them... in Shatnerian fashion.

Didn't realize STI made duty handguns.

The US Marshal's Service SOG (national SWAT) is issuing them with Leupold DPP's. Apparently they were recently added to the approved POW 1911 lists for LAPD, and I believe LASO.

With the patent on 2011's expiring the competition market is moving towards 2011 "builds." STI / now Stacatto made a decision to remake their product line and sales focus to duty guns. They brought Dave Dawson back to re-engineer the functional and QC side and they outsourced production of their new and improved magazines to an actual magazine company like most gun companies do instead of making them in house.

Not saying it isn't a good channel, just be aware that Hilton now works for/with/consults for/with Staccato (formerly STI).
