So, I literally just got this in the mail like 12 mins ago lol
After hunting down a knife from Spyderco (whom I love) for a few weeks, and then stumbling over to Benchmade, I discovered this knife. I was told for $160 it’s be hard to beat and it helps the knife rights guy Doug Ritter out. Size, steel, tip and shape seemed really great. Plus he’s responsible for the Ritter Griptilian Classic.
Apparently the Benchmade Axis Lock patent is up so Hogue was allowed to use it and it’s called the Able Lock here. Apparently instead of Omni springs Hogue uses Wolff which are stronger.
Blade is 3.44” of 20CV.
G10 scales.
Deep carry clip.
Partial liners
Deployment is super glassy smooth. Blade is centered. Tall edge that is toothy and really nasty sharp.
You’d be hard pressed to find a better value at $160 honestly.
Unless something shows up in the coming days (I will report it here) it seems flawless.
