Thread: Winchester Wildcat .22 rifle?

    My guess, based on the fact that the Wildcat is priced so close to the 10/22 yet is so similar, is that it will not be a sales success and will me a distant memory in a few years. As an avid rimfire shooter, I, like the OP, was not really aware of it, so it has almost no visibility in the market.

    Of interest to me is the magazine design due to the ease of loading and the last round hold-open feature. I need to try a Wildcat magazine in a 10/22. If it fits and feeds, the wheel to release tension would make magazine loading easier.

    If I can find one (they seem to be out-of-stock most everywhere) I may purchase one as I like lightweight 10/22 rifles (I have two Tactical Solutions X-Ring rifles) as the cost is not too high and I could experiment with the Wildcat magazine. I have spent more on a lesser return.
