I had a Plaxco, Wilson and Hackathorn rig from Rogers and sold them to my fellow LEO's thinking they would always be available. Wrong! I've attempted to buy them back many times with no success. Bill Rogers is brilliant!

The path of least resistance will seldom get you where you need to be.
And here I had always thought Kydex came from some elusive, and extinct or near-extinct critter like Naugahyde does.
That's one of the best vids in that series.
We may lose and we may win, but we will never be here again.......
That was awesome! Thanks for posting.
In the late 80's, I had a belt slide for a K-frame, which fit my Security-Six, that was the original Safarilaminate...suede/kydex/full grain leather. Wish I still had it.
I also had acquired what I believe was one of those first Navy Seal designs. It was for a 5" 1911, reversible with a thumbbreak, and could be had as a belt holster or drop-leg, with or without a flap. I'm pretty sure it was the predecessor to the SLS and 6280/6004.

I've had some conversations with Tommy Campbell before after a rather negative experience with Safariland customer service. He was knowledgeable, gracious, and very helpful even when help meant in a direction that wasn't always towards making a sale. I never realized the role he played in both current operations and the company's development. Similarly, I always knew Bill Rogers played a big role in the development of current LE/Mil holsters, but I never realized the true scope of his role.
