Are current ammunition prices elevated because of poor supply or because of increased demand?

I'd say it's more on the demand side.
I'm a "7" compared to most gun-guys, which means I'm a "3" on P-F.
Definitely. Lead prices are near their 10 year low (LINK).
Copper price is a big part of the expense--cases and bullet jackets.
The same geniuses hoarding toilet paper are probably the ones cleaning out the ammo.
But I reload, so I haven't noticed.
Don’t blame me. I didn’t vote for that dumb bastard.
Yeah, haven't noticed lately since I bought up last year to hold me for a while. Looking at my usual supply, www.sgammo.com, several in stock options in 9mm 124 (S&B, BB) are around $0.27 a round. Compared to the $.18 a round last year. I would surmise this is due to demand as it would have hard to fathom raw materials or production costs increasing by a third over a relatively short period of time.
