Lawyer Admits To Paying Over $250,000 In Bribes To ICE, FBI Agents

Just the tip of the iceberg.

A Los Angeles County-based lawyer agreed to plead guilty to shelling out over $250,000 in bribes to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and FBI agents over several years in return for special favors.

Edgar Sargsyan, a 39-year-old attorney with law offices in Beverly Hills, California, has agreed to plead guilty to five felony offenses, according to an ICE press release. The guilty pleas regard his involvement in a credit card bust-out scheme and hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes he gave to federal agents.

What missing from that story is something about the HSI and FBI agents being prosecuted and convicted too.

It’s a safe bet that those charges are forthcoming.

I am sure they will be dealt with harshly just like the FBI HRT agent that lied about firing his weapon during the Lavoy Finnicum shooting.

Yes, the lone FBI agent involved has been arrested; the single ICE agent identified in the crime will also have the same fate. Let's try to stick with facts...

The agents aren’t named in the plea agreement, but authorities last week charged former FBI Agent Babak Broumand with conspiracy to commit bribery, accusing him of accepting cash and gifts from a Los Angeles-area lawyer.

Mr. Broumand also is accused of obstructing an investigation into one-time HSI Agent Felix Cisneros Jr. Cisneros was convicted of a number of charges in 2018

The FBI Agent retired last year and was just charged, the HSI Agent was charged and convicted back in 2018.

These type of conspiracy and white collar crime cases often take years to prosecute and work their way through the courts. The criminal activities in this case go back to 2014. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good anti-government extremist rant ?

You mean the one who was charged with a felony and acquitted by a jury?
