Amash probably won't get any support, not because of his libertarian ideology tho. The two party system is too firmly rooted in most peoples minds to even look at issues. There's also onerous state requirements for 3rd party candidates to get on a ballot.
I'm not seeing a lot of difference between the two parties anymore, just the jokers that run for president. I think the bigger issue this fall will be the senate races. I keep reading about GOP senators starting to look over their shoulders and wondering if there will be a Trump backlash this fall that will take them out.
In the P-F basket of deplorables.
The apparent conclusion of the punditry is that a Biden victory requires some significant number of votes from Republicans opposed to Trump. Amash appears to be a better fit for this group than Biden, and this reduces the odds that Biden can win in narrow, battleground states such as Michigan. My home State is in no way a battleground, so this is mainly of academic interest to me.

I doubt if it will ever happen. Politics is too corrupt for honest people. If they are honest when they are elected, they are soon corrupted.
We've had a couple of State Congressmen get elected to federal congress. At home they were non partisan and worked for the people. As soon as they went to Washington they had to toe the party line. One was Republican and there was talk he could be presidential material. He ended up in jail. A Democrat also was non partisan until he went to Washington and began to toe the party line. Then there's Mansion from WV. He almost stood up to applaud Trump but was stared down.
I'm afraid you'll have a long wait. For several years I registered as Democrat so I could vote for the least bad in the primaries. Now, I refuse to vote for any Democrat.
Power does corrupt after all. It's a bit like sending one's young and innocent son away to tend bar at a brothel for a few years, and expecting him to stay in an innocent state.
At this point, I'm happy to get someone that doesn't actively and outspokenly hate me, and openly discusses how they plan on taking away my life, liberty, and property.

And he's out...
"I’ve spent nearly three weeks assessing the race, appearing in media, talking to delegates and donors, watching the Libertarian Party’s convention plan unfold, and gathering feedback from family, friends, and other advisers. After much reflection, I’ve concluded that circumstances don’t lend themselves to my success as a candidate for president this year, and therefore I will not be a candidate."
