One of my dream guns! Purchased almost 30 years ago from a rural sheriff deputy who retired and wanted to carry a revolver. Still serves as my back county pistol.

The 80s hotness thread was fanning the fire of my lust for these things bad enough already.
Pics aren't helping.

I miss my 4003, my love of the 3rd Gen will get me again and I’ll get another in a moment of weakness I’m sure.
I found the rubber Hogues to be just a little thick, as compared to the narrower plastic/delrin or whatever you call the narrower ones that I prefer, shown here:
The trade off is that the larger rubber Hogues are more comfortable when it comes to absorbing felt recoil (to me).
Both work fine though, and I would not complain either way.

Movies and TV made me like them before I ever handled one: MIB, and The Pretender. These were my primary carry guns for several years. The LS is gone now, the regular one was the first gun I ever cleaned a Dot Torture with. It belongs to my daughter, though she rarely shoots it.

This one is all Sonny Crockett’s fault. My only .45. If the 4506 they had at the same time hadn’t been buggered, I’d probably have gotten it instead.
The old 645.

The factory stocks are not what I'd call blocky but any of the aftermarket stocks I tried were far too big for my hands. The factory one piece design in nylon (?) was pretty streamlined. The fancy wood stocks you see are gorgeous but too large for me. I must admit I only tried Hogue's stocks, so others might be less bulky.
Back to the factory grips for me.
We may lose and we may win, but we will never be here again.......
