    S&W TDA Pistols

    I've seen enough photos of S&W TDA pistols posted here that I thought it might be worth a dedicated thread.

    Here is my lightly-used 5906 I purchased new in 1989;

    The 4506 is The ultimate classic S&W TDA to own.

    In this case, it is a decocker version.

    The 4563 TSW is not a bad little guy either.

    I really want a 4506. But then I look at prices for mags and spare parts, and get a queasy feeling....

    At least you can find spare magazines. This has been a bit of an issue with my girlfriend's 4506.

    (Although it should be possible to modify 1911 magazines. I have yet to try this myself though, due to... extreme laziness, I guess?)

    I have a question: whenever I see these S&W autos, the grips always look really blocky to me. Are they, or is that just an optical illusion from the contrasting colors?

    "Probably a razor that belongs to some dude named Occam."

    Sort of..... The 9mm 5906 type guns arenít too bad. I found the 45ís the be rather unergonomic for me. My faves are the alloy framed 9mms.

    My 1006...

    FBI 15 rounder, converted to decock-only, and I do have an extended slide release that is not pictured. Love the gun, and is one I will never sell.

    Now, if we get some .357 SIG and .40 conversion barrels... Iíd be set.
