How does the new Colt Cobra stack up against the LCRs and J frames?
How does the new Colt Cobra stack up against the LCRs and J frames?
It is my primary most of the times these days because I'm living that "j-frame lifestyle"
NPE or bug, but only pocket carry (Mika) or bellyband (Galco).
If circumstances permit any sort of belt holster at all, it will always be something else that gets chosen.
When I'm on campus (carrying on campus is legal in Texas), I carry a 642 in a DSG AIWB. Two main reasons:
1) It completely disappears in that position, while still giving me a fast draw stroke. I'm not comfortable carrying a pistol that prints - even a little - when I'm in front of a class. The same group of people staring at you within bad-breath distance for months on-end will notice things folks in other environments never would.
2) My main concern when I'm on campus is someone literally jumping on me, either across my desk, in the hallway, or whatever. A j-frame is the best firearm solution in that scenario.

I literally just posted this pic on Instagram. I came in from walking the dog and decided to take a pic of my EDC.
2.5" 638 right there in the DSG Apollo.
Always have a 342 in the left front pocket in a RKBA leather holster.
Always.
J most of the time since I roll in workout type attire most of the time. If I’m wearing real pants I upgrade to a steel snub. Why? Why not? It’s a tool that works.
