We are thrilled to be able to host Lee Weems of First Person safety for his popular Social Levergun class.

In the political uncertainty inflicted on Virginia in recent months, we have received a number of inquiries about classes featuring manually operated repeating rifles. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to use rifles that will hopefully be "ban proof" should the worst occur.

The lever-action platform has been getting the job done since 1860, and it is still a viable choice as a patrol/social rifle. This course covers safe handling procedures, basic operation, loading techniques, and more. Weapon transitions will also be covered.
Justified Defensive Concepts is proud to host

Lee Weems of First Person Safety to host this course. Lee is a career police officer currently serving as a chief deputy in his county Sheriff's Office. He has multiple firearms instructor certifications from the FBI, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers, the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, Rangemaster, and others.

Equipment list:
● Centerfire rifle/carbine with a side loading gate (Mandatory)
○ Ideally, capable of having rounds direct loaded into the chamber
○ Sling preferred
● Pistol with holster and loading devices/carriers
● 100 rounds rifle/carbine; 50 rounds pistol
● A means of carrying spare rifle ammo: butt cuff, side saddle, etc
● All safety equipment: hearing/eye protection, brimmed hat
● Comfort items: food, drinks, chairs, etc

Ammo recommendation: jacketed, factory loaded ammunition. Cast lead bullet ammo that functions fine for hunting frequently has feeding issues at the speed and volume of fire required in the class.

Please note: Pistol caliber leverguns are much more finicky when it comes to the shape of the bullet and the overall length of the round.
