    I would call Ruger, complain about leading, describe forcing cone, and ask if they will check the revolver. Then you can send it back on their dime. Include the other complains in the enclosed letter.

    An older guy told me years ago that the preferred method for getting lead out of a barrel used to be rolling a quantity of mercury back and forth in the plugged barrel. He complained that no other method works as well. I have never tried this, but I imagine you could do it safely if you were careful not to touch the mercury.

    Anybody know if that method actually works?
