Guys, I'm considering utilizing a crossdraw while driving, as I'm kind of the COVID 19 Designated Sherpa/Driver for my wife (as it should be...).
Revolvers concerned are service/duty-sized 4" Ruger GP100 and/or Security Six.
I read some good reviews of the new Galco Switchback, but looking at my UM84R, due to its design, if I remove the flap and metal belt attachment, it seems I pretty much have the same thing, as it also integrally incorporates belt loops on both sides.

The UM84R I have on hand, pretty much languishing in a drawer, the Galco I can get for about $50. The Galco might be slightly more concealable, but probably not much. The UM84R is probably a bit more durable. The Galco utilizes a retention strap, using the UM84R as I'm thinking, there would be no retention device/strap (which isn't necessarily a bad thing for the role I'm envisioning).
Any thoughts/experiences with either, particularly as utilized for crossdraw?
Best, Jon
