I've tried the 4" version as a strong-side concealment rig but wasn't satisfied with the results. The leather holster body and lining are very thick, plus cowhide is just too flexible compared to Kydex for it to work well. N-frames just don't leave you much margin for error with concealment.

I thought if I got one I’d also wear it crossdraw in the field. I was thinking about mounting it crossdraw to my HPG Prairie Belt.

Back in the days when I would go deer hunting in the morning and straight to work, I carried a 5" 625 in a Kramer Belt Scabbard and tucked the bottom of the holster into the rear pocket, as described by Bill Jordan in No Second Place Winner. IIRC, Desantis makes something similar at the nice price.

I believe the Mitch Rosen Sport Holster is available for that gun.

Dillon Precision shows it available https://www.dillonprecision.com/mitc..._22_26070.html

Dillon probably also has some Safariland models for that gun https://www.dillonprecision.com/hols...2.html?&mult=2

The Safariland 567 is a very solid, versatile holster for less than 40 bucks. Mine's seen a ton of use, several belt attachments at different ride heights, different belt widths including 2", adjustable tension.

The best bang for the buck in innexpensive (sub $100) leather for N-frames, imo, is the El Paso #88 pancake, and the Mernickle PS6.

The Safariland is much less concealable than the last two but it can be done. The Mernicle has slots for strong side & cross draw.
