The US Navy isn't geared to move fast enough to take care of an epidemic on a ship thru normal channels. The Capt Crozier had to put some pressure on a bureaucrat to get off of his ass and do something. I'm sure the NS Modly was aware of the situation long before the captain wrote that letter. I'll wait for the investigation but knowing what I know about the Navy somebody other the Capt. should have been fired. I expect he'll be exonerated. I always liked a commander who acted in the troops best interest.
