    Colt prototype airline revolver

Very interesting experimental revolver designed for airline pilots in case of attempted hijacking. Stuff like this is why I love Forgotten Weapons.

Fast forward 30 years or so and revolvers were experimented with again.

There were airline captains who had guns in their flight bags, right up to the point when the FAA ordered aircrews to be screened after a former PSA employee, who hadn't turned in his creds, bypassed security and carried out a suicidal hijacking in 1987.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

Very interesting! I didn't even know they existed.

All that said - I like the current and future guns a whole lot better!

    1) That would be an awesome addition to any Colt collection. I’ve only ever read about these, never even seen pictures before.

    2) So...what exactly was the idea here? Pilot jams this thing into a terrorist’s head and gives them a superficial flesh wound?

That would make patching dry wall holes a lot more fun.

Can you give any hints as to the “future”?
