    .380 90gr jhp xtp

Anybody know where I can find any?
Every place I've tried is out of stock or discontinued.

Local Academy had no handgun ammo at all.

My niche is shooting Pocket guns. Here is my favorite ammo. Actually shoot the Plus P in the Pico and Kahr. I also get the best accuracy with these.

I would agree they are really accurate in comparison to everything else I've shot in the G42's.

@JimCunn, something to note. If you are using a micro gun, LCP or the like stick with Old Virginia's recommendation. If you are using it in a G42 or similar get the +P variant found here: https://precisiononeammunition.com/p...gr-hp-xtppnew/ they cycle in the G42. The standard pressure stuff wouldn't properly cycle all the 42's I've owned no anything else larger in .380.

Thanks. I use it in my two Kimber Micro .380s and three Airweight 637-2 J-frames that have been modified for both 9x19mm and .380 ACP. The .380s do OK with either standard or +P as long as it is 90gr XTP.

The J-frames will shoot anything you stuff in them, but because of the titanium cylinders, if shooting 9mm, it needs to be heavier than 120gr.

Those sound very interesting! were those done on 342 cylinders?

The 90 grn XTP Hornady loading has been an excellent performer for accuracy and reliability for us here through four LCPs, a Kahr K380, a sig 238 and 238 HD when we went through a .380 phase a few years back.

Looks like Underwood may have a couple loadings available:

    and

I have not personally shot any of their .380, but two friends of using the Lehigh bullets and liked the performance. I have some of their HC wadcutter loads and in limited testing so far they seem good quality.

They were done on the titanium .38Sp/.357Mag J-frame cylinders available from Midway for about $139.
Either TKC or Pinnacle will ream them to 9x19 and cut them for moonclips.
I buy moonclips from Range for about $1.25 each.
This knocks about 2oz off the weight of the 637-2 and makes them ideal for pocket carry (I have a strong preference for the exposed hammer). I usually carry 147gr 9x19 JHP in them

I have a Browning 1911-380 Compact that seems to work with anything you stuff in it, and two Kimber Micro Carry 380s that don't care if it is standard or +P, but are extremely finicky about bullet shape and weight. They will fire 90gr XTP. I run magazines modified to carry 8 rounds in them.

    I have six 9mm pistols.
Three 9mm titanium cylindered J-frames that require bullet weight to be heavier than 120 grain.
A Kimber Micro 9 that is not finicky (i run a Sig 8 round mag in it).
A Browning T-Series Hi Power that is not finicky (20 round Beretta FS92 mag).
A Tisas BR9 Hi Power clone that is not finicky (20 round FS92 mag).
