    Moon Clip Reload hack

So in anticipation of my Taurus 692 I purchased some Rimz polymer 986-7 moonclips. I had read about them on RevolverGuy blog and he gave them a very good review. I have received them and I am pleased so far. Now just waiting on the gun. But I got to thinking about how to carry these should this revolver work out well. I have a HKS Cordura double speedloader pouch I have been carrying my HKS speedloaders for my Ruger GP. Well just dropping the moonclip into them it swallows them up and they are hard to retrieve. So did a little thinking and I think I came up with a pretty good solution. Insert 1 3/4 PVC pipe cap upside down into the pouch, drop in moon clip. They fit in nicely and they ride up high enough to retrieve the moon clip for the reload.

I have not found a completely satisfactory way to carry extra moonclipped ammo. You may have a great idea there.

Does the PVC tube ever come out with the moon clipped rounds when you grab them?

    Nice idea.

PVC pipe is the rigid equivalent of ductape.
Working diligently to enlarge my group size.

It seems to a little with my 6 round 38/357's but not with my 7 round 9mm. Solution is postage stamp size velcro.
