For years I have been wanting to acquire what I considered the best of the .45 service pistols. I finally did it, though it took longer than I ever expected, and a few other shiny things got in the way.
That said, these are what I always considered the GREATS:
The 1911, the Glock 21, the 4506, and finally the HK USP.
Not too long ago, a fellow Idahoan, and all around great guy parted with his USP, which due to who it was made it even cooler.
Anyways, behold the Four Horsemen.
While the 9mm may be acceptable for dropping bad guys these days, when it comes to an all around cartridge for people and animals, I will still take the old standby.
The newest, which I definitely need to spend more time afield with:
