    Funny you should mention that!

I'm gonna put some commentary out this week on that very issue and some observations about a largely masked populace.

But is there room in the GR1 for the gun and the glove?

So, attaching a can that would not fit back into the bag, using a bag where the gun has to be broken down, or one that the magazine must be out of the gun wouldn’t work for me.

Dry practicing the feasibility of deploying/stowing/deploying again seems useful.

So I think that's REALLY the way to work through this process is to first see what you want to do with this weapon.

-Carry assembled on foot in a backpack without drawing attention?
-Carry disassembled on foot in a backpack?
-Deploy immediately into a fight on foot from a backpack?
-Move from an open street into a building for a hard point carrying the weapon draped down behind your leg so you don't draw a ton of attention?
-Deploy in the driver's compartment of a small vehicle to repel?

I think these are all useful questions to ask yourself.

Also I love the GR1 but it's still a little tactical looking for me. Huckberry did a collaboration with Goruk and came up with a slick one that i think is just about perfect.

    1) Looking forward to your TP9-N impressions.

    2) With almost 500 posts about hardware, culminating in a general consensus on what defines a PDW, any software discussion up to and including deployment/usage would be be outstanding.
The NJ State Police have both a day and night sub-gun qualification course - https://www.state.nj.us/lps/dcj/pdfs/dcj-firearms.pdf - Appendix E, you can search the PDF for "ASQC" (Automatic/Semi-Automatic Sub-Gun Qualification Course). Not necessarily straight up deployment/usage, but would provide some drills and a baseline of performance (80% is required to pass).

Several of those criteria really seem to favor things like the Uzi Pro and TP9 in those regards. In theory you can deploy either of them with a single hand or even push them out into a two-hand pistol-style hold and fire. Actually, they may even favor something like the USW even more.

There are several tailhook brace options for the USW chassis - if someone already has a Glock of 320 that might be a very viable option - or the FLUX Defense brace - https://www.fluxdefense.com/

Don’t recall seeing this listed in the thread. It’s under 19” with a 5.5” bbl.

Regarding my earlier question... from my research it appears the B&T can is the only safe/practical way to go. The 3 lug is larger than the HK style because of the rotating bbl. Thompson Machine has an adapter but I don’t know squat about their suppressors.

Also available in 7.62x39, for those so included.

@GJM I think we all want to see you hitting steel with your TP9 using this. You can shoot while it’s inside the bag. Lol!

    TarHeel lists a B&T TP9 3-lug to 1/2-28 adapter - https://tarheelstatefirearms.com/sto...product_id=434 EDIT: My bad that's a HK-style 3-lug adapter to 1/2-28, not the B&T TP9 3-lug.

No idea how well it works. I'm seeing quite a bit on SilencerTalk that you want a larger-volume suppressor to reduce over-gassing. I was kind of thinking of picking up a Mystic X as soon as I get out of Illinois. I imagine a large diameter 45 suppressor would work fine on the B&T. I wonder if the rotating barrel will cause a ratcheting effect on the suppressor, either by turning it loose or turning it tighter (I don't know which way the TP9 barrel rotates).
