At 0.230”, the Warren steel rear might not be a good match for the Ameriglo 0.180” front I have now (which, I admit, I had in the spare parts bin, so I’m trying to be a little economical.). I do understand the pros and cons of night sights, but in this case I’d prefer to have some subdued tritium vials on the rears. The Warren is good value for money at $20, that’s for sure.
I checked with my calipers because I couldn’t remember for sure. I have a .200 front. For me it’s top of the sight at 15 with AE 124. I don’t know if there is enough difference between a 43x and 48 to matter. All this renewed interest in 48’s has me close to finding out for myself.

70 more rounds today, 190 to date, zero issues.

Did The Test for an 89-1X, not bad for me,

I ran our qualification course again with the 48 and had zero problem scoring 100...again, not an especially hard qualification.

I tried a B8 target and it handed me my ass...it was in the low 80’s...sorry no pic.

I notice that the slim frame/grip is small enough to cause me an issue of pushing my shots left.

Overall, a good concealment pistol that delivers the usual Glock reliability.

    Heinie Fiber Optics

This is my first go with Fiber Optic sights and I choose the Heinie Ledge FO’s which are very high quality and very bright. I ran a few mags of S&B which I believe is the last of the practice ammo I have right now. My G48 is officially done for now

I am sold on my 43x MOS. The only thing Glock could do to kill the 365 would be maybe redo the 43 a tad shorter and tad longer and guve it a metal mag, include the43x MOS cut and front serrations and voila!

I am gonna get a 48 MOS next!

Up to 300 rounds in mine, 0 malfunctions. I am very close to cleaning F.Y.L at 5 yards level 1: with BB 124 FMJ:

I shot this 9/10 with the Ameriglo Pro glo 0.180” front and Pro Operator 0.240” rear. I’m pretty happy with the regulation with these sights; I might push the rear a skosh left, but not much.

A few weeks ago I saw a video reviewer compare the G48 to a 1911 - which I thought was kinda interesting. I know zip about 1911s, and didn’t think much about it until I happened to be in a gun store with one of those wall of cabled-up ‘try me’ guns the other day. And there was a 1911 there.

Anyway, I hefted the 1911 and was surprised how thin and comfortable it felt. I couldn’t whip out my G48 to compare, but later I used a gun size comparison tool with a Ruger SR1911 to snag this image:

Those of you familiar with 1911s, is this an accurate comparison? Does the Glock 48 feel / shoot like a 1911?

The G48 is somewhat comparable in size to a commander sized 1911 which I’m not a fan of in the traditional .45 platform. Now a well built modern 2011 style in 9mm I’d love to own, it’s just $$$$.
