"Safariland doesn't offer the non-black color I want!"
How many of us have heard the above woeful phrase? Or perhaps uttered it ourselves?
Fear not. Today, I was in our CID office and noticed one of our investigators rocking a GLS holster that matched his dark brown belt, boots, and other gear quite well. Being my gun-nerdy self, I knew that Safariland didn't offer it in that color. He stated that he'd purchased a spray-on product from Home Depot that adhered to the plastic/polymer. He stated that he made sure that there were no globs or runs, and that the holster's operation was unaffected. The job looked quite professional, and he allowed me to photograph it to share.
