Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride

This coming September I will be riding in the 2020 Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride. This years ride will commence at Fenway Park in Boston and over four days will end at Ground Zero in Manhattan.

For those of us who don't know what the Tour de Force is, it's a cycling event to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice...
"The Tour de Force's dual mission is to honor the victims of 9/11 by keeping their memory alive through cycling events and to raise funds to benefit the families of law enforcement officers nationwide who were killed in the line of duty, making the ultimate sacrifice." More here: http://www.tourdeforceny.com

I have set up a fundraising page here: https://grouprev.com/2020_TDF-james-demarco It honestly takes less than a minute to make a donation!

My hope is that member here at P-F, who have always stepped up for great causes, will continue this record of generosity and support my ride to honor those who have given all. Remember, no donation is too big or too small- your donation is guaranteed to go to a wonderful cause.

Thank you to all my brothers and sisters here, sworn/unsworn/civilian/military and all in between. With your help, I know we can make this years Tour de Force the most successful ever.

I know the past month since I posted my request for donations has been a trying time for everyone... But still, thanks to P/F for its generous donation to this cause! It's my hope that the Tour will bring some comfort to the families of 9/11 responders, those responders that gave their all for us!

Tout de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride

Hello to all- I thought I’d post an update on the 2020 installment of the TDF: since Covid-19 threw everyone and everything a curveball this year, the traditional tour was canceled. As a result, numerous smaller regional Rides were planned. I’m proud to say that I was part of the Eastern Long Island group and on 9/12 we set off for a 104 mile bike ride on the Eastend of the Island. We made our way to Montauk Point and back, all why raising funds for an extremely worthwhile cause.
I’d like to thank @LittleLebowski and P/F for a generous donation and if any members are on the fence about making a donation, no matter how small or big, please do so, as the donation window closes soon.
Thanks in advance and fingers crossed for a 2021 TDF!

Hi everyone! I’m going to bump this thread today, to let everyone know that beginning Saturday, 9/11/2021, in Boston, I will be joining several hundred other LEOs for the start of the 2021 NY Tour de Force Memorial Bike Ride. We will bike through New England, ferry (from New London) to the far easternmost end of Long Island’s north shore (Orient Point), eventually making our way to NYC on 9/14.
This ride is in honor of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us and the funds raised will go directly to benefit the families of LEOs who have died in the line of duty, which you can see from my LODD posts is astronomical…

I’m once again asking our Brotherhood/Sisterhood here on P-F to step up and make a donation in support of this incredible effort. My original three monetary goals were met and surpassed and as of this time I’m saying “Let’s Go!” No amount donated is too little and total donations for the TDF will never be enough for our extended family. Please click on the link and do it- it takes only a minute.
Thanks in advance for your support and remember, Stay Safe.

I’m back from the four days of the 2021 TDF! It was an incredible and amazing journey, with around 250 riders, mostly active and retired LEOs from around the country, all to benefit the families of our fallen…
One guest of honor, Trish Mullen the widow of Steve Mullen https://www.odmp.org/officer/24021-d...en-john-mullen and who’s not an endurance rider but gave her all, had a pretty bad fall yesterday in NYC… nothing broken, but very banged up. The tour went on to Ground Zero never forgetting the sacrifice so many have made.
Every dollar raised by participants like me goes directly to the families of our fallen. This year honored so far is Steve, https://www.odmp.org/officer/25313-p...manuel-familia and https://www.odmp.org/officer/24965-s...-james-darnell with others to come.
Please consider donating…. You will never regret it. Click on the link and go directly to my fundraising page. Thanks! Jim https://grouprev.com/2021_TDF-james-demarco

And, when you donate, please message me so that I can personally thank you for your generosity and support….
