Frustrated, unable to find holster design I want

So, I'm looking for a general holster for IWB for my P99C in natural-colored horsehide.

I tried one from HNH (won't spell out the name) and it was a Christmas gift opened 17 days after purchase, but it had a design flaw and they did not mold it to the gun shape properly (was slightly offset) and the service rep unprofessionally argued with me (I have the emails) and stubbornly stuck to their "15 day" return policy (even though other manufacturers give extra return time during the holidays) and now I'm stuck with a fairly expensive bad holster in the drawer and will never order from them again. :-(

So, I want a natural color horsehide IWB holster for my pistol that has a wide backing behind the butt of the gun. THAT is the design flaw I see in most IWB holsters, because when your body moves, the holster moves, and the edge of the butt of the gun moves off the little finger of leather and jabs you in the muffin top, especially when sitting down. BAD DESIGN.

Now, some might tell me to lose my muffin top, and while I am taking steps to do that I still want to find a holster manufacturer that isn't so cheap that they will put a few extra inches of leather behind the butt of the pistol that's sticking out at the top for protection against my skin. I'm willing to pay if it is done properly so cost is not my first thought.

Anyone have any suggestions for me please? I'd hate to keep wasting money on return shipping for holsters that just aren't right for me.
    TIA!

Just to tide you over, is there any possibility of having a cobbler bubba-rig something for you, to prove the concept? Returns are expensive not only for you, but also for the maker. Once you have exactly what works for you it'll be easier to find a leather holster maker to do the labor.

Not sure if they make one to fit your P99 but is this something like you are thinking about?

Not able to see the back where it contacts my skin, but appears to not have a big enough protective patch of leather behind the area where the hammer would be if it were a revolver, so no.

Does not look like they do it right either. In their image (see link below) the darker part in the back where the butt of the pistol lays against? That part of leather, shaped like a rectangle in the image, needs to be much bigger and wider, to allow for the gun moving and protecting my skin from the square edge of the gun.

So you want a holster that has a huge sweat shield that puts leather between your skin and the entire grip of your gun?

I have a horse hide Crossbreed IWB super that was pretty nice and comfortable for a while, but he because of my body shape and probably from a not so good unsupporting leather belt, quit using it because of how tight I had to cinch the belt.

It’s pretty low profile, might give it a look.

Hybrid holsters suck, and so do clips. I've been at a class where one came off the belt and stayed on the gun during the draw.

I don’t know what holster that person you’re talking about was using at the time it came off the belt, but I don’t think it would be that easy with that super tuck crossbreed I’ve got because those metal belt clips are pretty stout.

But I dunno, I haven’t used that Galco holster that dude in the video was using but feel that the Crossbreed is much more quality than that. Even though it was a horsehide backing, the Kydex shell part had excellent retention.

It’s flexible, as I kinda thought they were supposed to be to be form-fitting around the body but mine isn’t that floppy.

Also the one I have, I had made with the combat cut where there’s a little bit less leather against your skin to help get a more secure grip of the handgun. Apparently the regular cut is more comfortable, but it covers more if the grip area.

But anywhoo, the OP was asking about horsehide leather IWB holsters so, there ya go. That’s all I knew of.
