Not to sound like a moron, but that's one of those stupid little drills that taught me a damned lot about shooting better. From three yards.

Prior to the Lucky Gunner video on dot torture, among several of the other vids in that series, I had some whack misconception that pistol shooting was significantly longer range. Some of those drills were where I started learning that good pistol shooting starts at 3, 4, and 5 yards. I still like a good dot torture from time to time, but rather than putting (way too generous) times on it with the wrong target for the task (IMO), I find myself moving the range back.

If I want to shoot fast, there's other drills for that.

The time "standards" that dude has are really bad, if you ask me.
